    "It’s safe where I live and the neighbors are quiet they don’t hang around on the outside. I moved here 5 years ago from hollywood where the crime rate is very high and the police are no good at solving crime . I find Port St. Lucie a much better area to live in despite the traffic. Hope to be able to use a different means of transportation in the future such as trains to cut down on all the cars and their expense."

    "When we eventually emerge from these economic doldrums I predict that Port St Lucie will rise to the top and displace our southern neighbors as the first choice to retire or raise a family. It's all here except the crime. Digital Domain and several biotech companies have selected our beautiful little city and have recently opened or in the process of building. We enjoy being the safest city in Florida and we likely have the best infrastructure in Florida to accomodate growth. Great schools, shopping, fine food, affordable housing, easy transportation, sports, and wonderful people - and you just can't beat the weather. We host the Mets spring training, festivals, fairs, botanical gardens, and we're close to the beach. We gather at the civic center for live entertainment now and then. It was a thrill to see Lee Ann Womack live at our Civic Center a few weeks ago. OK, I'll stop. Come visit like I did. Now I live here."
