"Maplewood is a family friendly neighborhood. There are great parks, restaurants and shopping centers."
  • Trulia User
"I grew up just down the street on eatna my whole childhood. Met my friends at maplewood park after school daily "
  • Deehoffman2
"I drive my personal vehicle to work and shopping. there is public transportation available in the area."
  • Linda L.
"This is one of the best lower income neighborhoods my kid grew up here the only downside is I live in an apartment that doesn’t allow dogs but I’ve lived here with my daughter for 7 years."
  • Jenn M.
"dog owners would like about my area is that there's two parks on my street they can bring their dogs to "
  • Tracy P.
"The people in the neighborhood are very nice. They are quite all around never hear anything in surrounding houses noise wise. Very nice neighborhood to be in. Great school and park in area too!"
  • fancyfaces329
"Besides being a quiet, clean cul-de-sac, the neighbors are wonderful. During a hurricane, my fence fell and I left to stay with family, when I got home, my neighbor fixed my fence. The guys get together during snow storms and help shovel everyone. You could not ask for a better little community,"
  • Derek F.
"I grew up in the surrounding neighborhoods. I worked at one of the local supermarket chains managing the Produce dept. and getting to know local employees and the clientele who shopped in our store. Most people were very nice, and the employees through out the store were very reliable with good work ethic. Knowing Portuguese is always a plus around here. Like the city itself, this area has quite a bit of Portuguese people who reside here. If you ever need anything it is most likely a 2 minute drive away, worse case would be a couple miles in one direction or the other."
  • beebeewho
"Lived in this neighborhood, there are always drunk or high people arguing outside in the middle of the night, violence, etc. There are a few good people, but defiinitly not a neighborhood you'd want to live in if you're afraid of calling the cops, which is something that is done often here."
