"The town is great to raise your children here. It’s the last best small town around. We have a wonderful sheriffs department that keep us safe in this community! You get great heat and nice fresh air in the night. Beach breeze from Ventura and also have the beautiful views of mountains and farms all around town."

"They would like it because it’s a quite neighborhood and they wouldn’t like it because the freeway is on the other side of the street"
  • Amanda G. B.
"There’s always something going on downtown. Festivals and fairs and carnivals and what not. And every Fourth of July we have huge block parties all over town. Everyone is welcome. It’s one big celebration. "
  • Amanda G. B.
"It’s a tiny bit rural. But that’s what helps to keep the small town charm. Most jobs will require at least a twenty minute drive. "
  • Amanda G. B.
"Halloween is awesome around here. Tons of kids everywhere. Same with Fourth of July. Block parties on every corner. "

"That the dog park in town isn’t the greatest and they’re isn’t a lot of poop bags in town. But there’s a lovely walk way near the river for dogs"
  • Mminjares
"Community festivals, parades, volunteer spirit, support for youth sports, increasing demand for high performing scholastics, great City Council leadership"
  • Sierra07021995
"it is a family oriented neighborhood, everyone knows everyone and get they all along with each other."
  • kjwilso
"I live in this neighborhood. It is the most kid-friendly, warm neighborhood we could have ever asked for. Fillmore is beautiful, though it is far from shopping, but what you lose in retail, you gain in peaceful atmosphere. There is no traffic, ever ever ever! How many people in southern CA can say that? With the new public neighborhood pool, there is plenty of fun to be had for young families. Santa Clara Elementary is a nearby lottery school. It is the top scoring school in all of Ventura County. If you get in there, you're golden. Otherwise you will need to consider private school."
