As a former student of Chace Street School, I can say with confidence that it is one of the best places I have ever attended. The staff and teachers care about their students, and will go out of their way to make sure that their education is as best as it can be. There is a review on here that did urk me a little bit. It stated that Chace was a "no-nonsense" place that restricted the socialization of children, as well as being a strictly academic school. Being a second grader at the time that review was posted (2009), I can say with certainty that that is not true at all. They are a wonderful school with a system that not only looks to maximize the educational abilities of it's students, but also their overall experience. It provides many student and family events, as well as yearly field trips. While the principal of '09 did run a tight ship, she is one of the nicest people I have ever met, as well as one of the most respectable people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Chace St. is a wonderful school, and I would strongly recommend it to any parent that is considering enrolling their child there. ~Emily.

Worst school ever. I'd give it a zero if I could. Can't get their act together. The v.p. is a bigger bully than the students. I recorded her bullying. Both of my kids had an awful time here. It took 5 months to get my preschooler placed. Sept to Jan. Do NOT send your kids here.

I left Somerset Berkley after just 1.5 years and transferred to a school that was considered much harder, where I ended up excelling with a near 4.0 GPA. Somerset Berkley had a toxic atmosphere, filled with cliquey parents and students who acted superior just because they were from "Somerset"—a town that’s actually quite trashy, despite the pretentious attitudes. One teacher in particular kept me after class every day, offering extra credit because I wasn’t doing well due to family issues. He promised that if I followed his steps, I would pass. I stayed after class every single day, only for him to fail me with a 64.9 and refused to round it to a passing 65. Ironically, I left Somerset Berkley with a terrible GPA, feeling worthless, but then I went to a school that was supposedly tougher and thrived. I ended up graduating with close to a 4.0 and was accepted into one of the best schools in the country.
