4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagemy kids go to Bottenfield and we have had nothing short than an amazing experience, the staff is so engaged and everyone knows everyone. i do with there were more holiday programs available for the kids, it was sad that I didn't get to see my kindergarteners do any kind of holiday musical program or anything. other than that i have no complaints, my kids are happy and smart and love their school.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Carrie Busey Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to this school from out of state and this school is amazing. We have Mx. Smith and Mrs. Beckett and they have both been amazing teachers. I have never had a parent teacher conference with such a detailed report and recommendations on what areas our kids need to work on. They really go above and beyond here. We couldn't be happier!Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Central High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhat is so unique and lovely about Kenwood is the small family-like environment. A lot of the teachers and administration have been around for a long time and they all know all the children. You get the feeling that everyone is watching out for your kid starting from kindergarten and I love that they already know them when they get into older grade classrooms. My kids teachers have been amazing at watching out for students at different levels and trying to differentiate their work so nobody is left behind or bored. I’ve appreciated them even allowing some of my kids to join other grade level classes for specific classes if they felt that the work would be more challenging and engaging for them. The teachers have reached out to me on their own initiative to try creative solutions to meet them where they’re at with so much thoughtfulness. It’s really a hidden gem. A lot of people don’t like to choose it because they don’t love the neighborhood surrounding the school but it has really been a wonderful place of learning and making meaningful connections for all my kids. We’ve never had issues with bullying either. My older two have moved on but doing fantastic academically and socially.Parent Review8mo ago8 Reviews - Robeson Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEntire Champaign school district is controlled by the intolerant left. There is a BLM sign on the door, and the teacher told me this was because they are "inclusive". Are you kidding me? Hence they get minimal ratings on Safety (they are not free from discrimination) and family engagement (King-era opinions are not welcome).I decided to move to a different city. Once someone is in the throes of the hard left, arguing is useless.Parent Review3y ago11 Reviews - Westview Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to Franklin for two years after the pandemic and my experience was not great student disturbances impacted my learning by arguing and yelling. I have had objects thrown at me and others even with telling a substitute nothing happened. On rare occasions people would just touch you for no reason with one almost getting sexual assault charges because of his behavior with female students. Fights happened monthly with some even happening on the same day. Not to mention fights on my bus which happened almost daily. Even with the diversity people would get bullied. With one of my friends’s parents being Palestinian they were bullied because of the attacks on Israel I would recommend the band, choir and orchestra classes/ groups. They were the few times I was excited to go to class. Overall Franklin is not a great school for safety and if you send anyone their just make sure to check on them about school.Other Review9mo ago3 Reviews - South Side Elementary School

"Since we are a big ten school, we have tailgate parties for the games!! It’s a great way to Riga with our guests and enjoy good food, drinks and yard games. Also being known as being country for our flat lands filled with crops, the city holds the traditional sweet corn festival. With well known celebrity guest bands and of course our famous local sweet corn on a cob for all to try."
