"My commute isn’t long. Springfield is very close and the roads are all beautiful and freshly paved. They’ve installed streetlights on all the main roads so it’s nice driving at night. Willard is very beautiful "
  • Drsleepeasy

"We've lived here for past 2 years and enjoy our friendly neighbors who also respect our privacy. A nice bedroom community to a larger town just minutes away. "
  • Cassandra

  • amemenecker
"My husband and I used to live here and LOVED it! We grew our young family here; wonderful neighbors who came to meet you when you moved in. We became great friends with several of our surrounding neighbors. One neighbor shared his horse with us and we let another keep his livestock on our land to help manage the pasture. There is a city dump some miles away that can sometimes be smelled in the summer; the meadow breezes helped with that greatly. Many varieties of wildlife all around. We had several large gardens. Our huge satellite dish was struck by lightning once; that was interesting! Straight winds from storms were a problem a few times for our house on the hill, but no tornadoes came very close, thank goodness... we did NOT have a basement. I highly recommend a basement in this part of the country! No sidewalks, no public transportation (1997-2001). We lived about 20 minutes north of Springfield, right up Rt. 13; Springfield-Branson National Airport is just inside Springfield to the west. There are many varied shopping opportunities in Springfield and several hospitals and places of worship. We miss our little farm in the country!"
