Very Poor. My child is special needs, and we had to fight and fight, just to get that recognized. I couldn't possibly state everything here we had gone through with this school. What a nightmare. All the teacher's, staff, etc are 'in bed together'. You have to fight so hard just for your child to get treated fairly. They say they want the parent involved, but when the parent steps in, they don't like it and accuse you of being a helicopter parent. My child has suffered emotionally because of how the adults acted. It's shocking and unbelieveable. They want the money, but don't want to give what the child needs. I have a retired teacher that lives around the corner from me, and she said get your child somewhere other then the Olean school district! Don't even ask me what I and many others think of the Principal and Superintendent, what a joke!

This school does NOT handle any sort of conflict well. Instead of actually punishing students who misbehave and actively bully other students, they stick them in an ISS room for days with no human interaction. They actively tell bullied students that they can’t do anything more when they are completely capable of revoking a bully’s special privileges, i.e. dances, sporting events. Students are not happy. I know many students who have transferred to a different school due to Olean High Schools lack of care towards the students. Do better, Olean.
