"Several dog park areas. Just a short walk to park near by lots of grass and beach areas. Lots of sidewalks very walkable. Many many other dog owners to meet and have social interactions with. "
  • Trulia User
"Lot of parks in the area sidewalks don’t have a lot of foot traffic! Also many public trash cans so you don’t have to carry poop bags for the length of your walk"

"Public transportation is great as well as the neighborhood and shops. Parking is limited on certain streets."
  • Trulia User
"We have a dog park and the Property Management provides bags for waste. I’m actually in Buena Park, but it’s right down the street. "
  • Trulia User
"It can sometimes get rough in the area as that is anywhere in society now. Very much kid friendly, and family oriented. Plenty of schools , parks, and lovely views! Nice distance from the lake and local attractions through the community can often be found !"
  • Trulia User
" I live in a “sweetheart” neighborhood, within walking distance to all types of businesses. Grocery stores, discount stores, banks . Great restaurants , clothing Stores. etc….."
  • Trulia User
"Uptown has great access to public transportation, usually within a block or two from the red line, multiple bus lines, Divy bikes, and scooters. "
  • Trulia User
"Good food and close to live music. Walkable to riviera and aaragon. Lots of good Ethiopian food and close to Argyle with good Vietnamese food "
  • Trulia User
"Plenty of quiet streets to walk your dog and close to the lakefront. Many owners do not clean up after their pets. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of parks and the neighborhood is safe. Also very close to the lake. I am not familiar with the schools in the area but there are several day care centers "

  • Trulia User
"commute was super easy via Foster bus 147 that goes express on lake shore drive and goes downtown in 10-20 minutes. "
  • Trulia User
"I don’t know. I do not have children. I see kids though, so that’s probably a good sign. There are schools nearby too"
  • Trulia User
"It’s a shady place to live. You have to keep to yourself all the time. Very unfortunate that neighbors are nosy and judgmental all the time. Sometimes creepy."
  • Trulia User
"It’s great! I’m visiting but I love the community around Argyle. Interesting restaurants and supermarkets! "
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood has complete access to transportation as well as local markets in town. Also you have great space to exercise by riding your bike at the lake or running track."

  • Trulia User
"There are a few families in this area. Most of the people seem to be younger (late 20s early 30s) but the families witch children that i do see seem to be happy here"
  • Trulia User

  • Trulia User

"This area is still up and coming.... there are a lot of homeless people around and they are often aggressive and uncomfortable. So I stay home at night and don't walk around. I've had 5 men try to intimidate me in the alleyway that i have to use to get to my apartment, I've seen another homeless man use the bathroom (number 2) in that same alleyway. I can't wait to get out of this area. I'm sure in time - it'll be better. But right now, it's not safe."
  • Matthew K.
"None, really. There are no events that make my neighborhood special, at least not to me. I like it here though!"
  • Chris H.
