"Downtown Christmas is amazing to see, we have the Coosa River that runs thru town in gold star park. It’s peaceful at times."
  • Bill Birt Jr
"Christmas downtown Wetumpka is a sight to see! Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike. The decorations and street lights are amazing "
  • Jazmine Lucas
"Nothing besides the basic things like dogs getting out and a lot of the times dog owners do not clean up after their dogs but some do. "
  • Cdnason90
"Many people have dogs in this neighborhood. It is a great place for kids and pets to walk, and play. "
  • Trulia User
"Schools are reduced in size and classrooms are very modern. New school currently under construction "
  • Wkidd
"They’d love to be here because there are neighborhood dogs nearby as well as geese! There are some fenced yards as well as you can walk your dog or let them out on a tie out which is what we do since we don’t have a fence. Our dog is older now and doesn’t desire to walk or run as much. "
  • Wkidd
"There are good dogs here-they don’t bark too much. I can’t think of anything-there are small and big dogs here. "
  • Dpaquette
"The people are friendly, and the churches are great! The community feels safe and the neighbors in my subdivision are wonderful!!"
  • Wkidd
"It has lakes with fish in it. You can fish whenever you want-we all share that here, the only thing is no one enforces our covenants so the front needs extra help at times. I’d like to see the neighbors pitch in more in that respect. Our sunsets are phenomenal! "
  • Earlandjen74
"My commute is about a 20 minute drive. Not terrible, but early morning traffic is congested. That being said , the commute is worth it to live in a smaller, peaceful community. "
  • Amelia T.
"Quiet living with great school systems but close enough to larger cities. A lot of families as well "
  • Cassie H.
"Brookwood is one of the most lovely places we’ve ever lived! If we were not military I would love to buy and raise my family here! Such a precious community!"
  • Haley H.
"Safe and clean neighborhoods and friendly people. Slow pace but still things to do. Over all great place to live"
  • Diana S.
"Love my neighborhood!!! I always feel safe here. My children grew up playing here and adventuring thru the golf course trails. Beautiful place to live. "
  • Thrdsun3
"Mardi Gras parade, Christmas parade on the river. Zoo weekend. Bark in the park for your dogs. There are parades and celebrations for all occasions."
  • Thrdsun3
"6 miles of pure beauty, with plenty of trees and peaceful surroundings! I have good neighbors and a great community that makes it a wonderful place to live."
  • Sheila I. W.
"They should like it . Dog park and bags are supplied for poop pickup. They seem to be lots of dogs here we have cat"
  • Thrdsun3
"My commute is quiet and easy! Takes about 15 minutes to get to work. I have lived in town, but I enjoy the country life, where there is peace and quiet, and the neighbors are friendly!"
  • Thrdsun3
"This is a great area to live in. It’s peaceful and quiet most of the time, and it’s far better than living in Montgomery!"
  • Shannon E.
"The people here are friendly and take pride in their homes and lawns. People are always willing to help each other and look out for your house and pets when you are away. There is always something planned for gatherings on holidays and they absolutely go all out for Halloween. Lots of families and retirees alike. It’s beautiful. Especially in the colder months when the leaves fall. The school here is highly coveted and the area isn’t overdeveloped so home value is on the rise. We love living here."
  • Robert W.
"Annual July 4th parade, Easter Egg hunt, yard sales 2x per year, Homeowners Association Meetings etc."
  • Cathy E
"Everyone is very Friendly . Yards are well kept . It’s very close to both Wetumpka and the toll bridge to Montgomery . My Home is right in the middle ."
  • Amanda M.
"I've lived in the neighborhood for 7 years. It's a quiet wonderful community. It's so close to the walking track and play area for kids. "
  • Kendra H.
"Not the best neighborhood but not the worst. Some of the kids in this area are rude and threaten to shoot up the house we live in. There was an accidental shooting next door as well. "
  • Leonard C
"Their neighbors . Country living. Good- Caring neighbors who are genuinely interested in whats going on in your life & not in a intrusive way."
  • unhappy tenant
"They charge a monthly fee on top of the pet deposit. Also a fee for setting up a profile for your pet?? This is so they can “run dna testing” should your pet poop outside and you don’t pick it up. Doesn’t matter if you have a cat same rules apply. "
  • TBG
"Quiet streets, friendly people, shady trees, it’s paved and people walk their dogs all the time....."
  • Angie B.
"I grew up in Wetumpka 43 years in blue ridge subdivision i love Wetumpka and want to buy a home here to raise my children "
  • Lisa W.
"Various parks and swimming places in the area. Most every neighborhood is in the Wetumpka school district. "
  • Lisa W.
"Close to everything, but still quiet. Not too much traffic. Public access to Lake Jordan. Close to hospitals, shopping. Not much variety for dining. "
