"I live in public housing as of now and people do not clean up there dog and it’s garbages and dumpsters around so no excuse "
  • Trulia User
"It is beautiful and a great location for a family. It is by the shore and transit. What more can you ask for. "
  • Phylicia T.
"If I take the Asbury Circle I can get to work in less than 10 minutes but summertime traffic is difficult when people don’t know how to drive on the circle"
  • Kgue59
"There are schools stores and parks around here that are walking distance. The buses run almost every hour . Driving is good but since everything is mostly walking distance I would save gas to walk. Especially on a nice day"
  • Valerie M.
"Great. I’m working from home. Traffic in Asbury is pretty awful. Parking is even worse. I live in a building with a garage with 2 spots which is hard to find in Asbury."
  • Genevieve R.
"Neighborhood is very clean and very friendlyWould love to find a nice place around the neighborhood and very closely"
  • Tmcarroll1
"Tons of dogs! Only issue a that many dog owners do not clean up after their dogs. There is a beach dedicated to dogs which is great for socializing and tiring your dog out. A bunch of dog friendly bars and restaurants around too. Has to be a top 20 town in terms of being dog friendly"
  • Jim M.
"Great access to the beach, restaurants & downtown . sunset lake is beautiful and the new buildings in the area have improved the look of the community."
  • Chris B.
"I work here in town so I typically bike, skate, or walk to work. It’s a very convenient and comfortable commute across the city. "
  • Rachael S.
"Lots of events to bring people together. E.g. Summer events, boardwalk events, concerts in the area. "
  • Valerie M.
"Dogs welcome at many restaurants. They put dog water bowls out for pets. They have “Yappy Hour” at Wunderbar!"
  • Chris M.
"Lots of dogs. A lot of the relative newcomers are good to them, but many of the old timers just have a horrible dog culture."
  • Casey D.
"There are many dog-friendly places and a couple vets close in town. There are always people walking their dogs and most are conscientious pet owners. "
  • Jenniferrosebey123
"the boardwalk is a big attraction. everyone flocks here in the summer season just to enjoy asbury park's beach and boardwalk."
  • Chris M.
"Most commuting points easy. Short drive to parkway & other major arteries. A great place to live. "
  • Samantha M.
"september-may beach is 100% dog friendly! memorial day-labor day hours are restricted during prime beach hours."
  • Hannah W.
"I drive to work, though I could walk to the NJ Transit stop in Asbury Park or Allenhurst, though the train schedule isn’t very convenient. "
  • The underdog
"Watch out, there is a few big dogs loose dogs out on the side walks too often on Emory between 1th and Asbury Av. And also on Bond st same side streets. Dog owners should be ticketed for not use precaution. Specially with aggressive dogs like that 😬 "
  • Shopalexislovebee
"More pet friendly rent allowed for those looking to rent in your area. It also should not be so expensive if you have a small pet. A reasonable security deposit is very fair"
  • Jaclyn D.
"Springsteen & lots to do! Always restaurants and nightlife and busy boardwalk. Vibrant community all lifestyles "
  • TC
"There’s plenty of entertainment, shops, restaurants, beach, etc. Everything is just a walk or bike ride away."
  • David S. A.
"I would not let my children to wander around Asbury alone. It’s safe but there are still weird people walking around. "
  • Jessica F.
"I enjoy the events in Asbury Park especially at the convention center. I love the history of Asbury Park and being so close to the beach. Dining and nightlife are pretty great as well. "
  • Vlasko
"I would say you should always keep an eye on your children no matter where you live. This town is great for people who like having something to do all year long and it's a good place to live in you mid 20s."
  • Geod Waters
"Nice Jersey shore experience on the streets and at the beach. Not too far a walk to some good resturants and a bit further to high rises."
  • Paulgcook1@gmail.com
"It's a city by the sea, the beach, nightlife, a train to NYC, great music scene, many community events make this a wonderful place to live. "
  • John N.
"it's equidistant from Manhattan and Philadelphia. it's a very walkable town providing many option for food and entertainment. "
  • Mattiesimmons
"love living in ASBUR PZRK been here all my life woud hate to move from area work here too dont drive"
  • Jacksouthst
"Don’t coddle your children. You will be doing them an injustice if they aren’t responsible and don’t learn how to do things for themselves! Children like and desire boundaries so provide them. "
  • David S. A.
"I just moved here less than a year ago but I love it so far. Neighbors are friendly and it’s close to the beach. "
  • Gabby3915
"The boardwalk and all the different events that go on. It's quiet and neighbors are all friendly. It's very dog friendly, and has plenty of children for my daughter to play with. It's just a little on the pricy side. "
