The school is great! The teachers care about you and you will make a lot of friends like how i did. At my old school, they didn't care that i struggled in multiple subjects, here at this school the teachers try their best to help you with anything! I'm also happy that i finally get put in special classes (math & english) to help me with stuff i was struggling with! Please send your child here! they will get extra help and will make lots of friends!!!

The Lawrence Avenue staff is wonderful. They really care about our children! My children especially love the "pull outs" that they have with teachers outside of their classroom every day - art, music, and PE. One of our PE teachers just received the NY PE Teacher of the Year award last year!

The teachers are very helpful and seem passionate about their job, for the core classes. the building is easy to navigate as it is very linear (it's mainly just a straight line), and there are a lot of musical and artistic opportunities provided, along with a variety of after-school activities. The Positivity Project system the school uses while feeling a bit pushy the year it was introduced seems well balanced now and not forced upon everything, making it feel more natural while also promoting better character. The homework is reasonable with most classes not having a lot to ask, but still wanting to see work from students. Geometry class takes a special approach in that Edpuzzle notes videos are watched at home, and homework pages are done in class, which I quite like, and the global teacher is fantastic.As someone with low-level autism, I think this school accommodates special needs students quite well, with IEPs for students being upheld by the teachers for students like me. In addition, while I have heard some reports of bullying in this school, I have not experienced it myself, and reports are quite rare.A complaint I do have however is that the school lunch quality can be below-average and that one of the bathrooms has a missing door for one of the stalls and a broken stall that does not lock for the other. Other than that I am currently enjoying my freshman year at Potsdam Senior High School quite well, and I do think it is a very fine school.
