Many of their coaches are also great academic teachers. Clubs meet before school so they can enjoy sports and clubs. Musicians are not penalized by coaches for attending concerts. Same with other things like Math Meets and Science Olympiad. Great culture nurturing well rounded kids. Very good communication between teacher administration and parents, real sense of community. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWell, I am currently a 7th grade girl at this school, and I must say, I like this school a lot. All of my teachers are amazing. Band is my favorite class, and I think that the music program is awesome at my school. Of course, that's just from a student's point of view. We do have accelerated math classes and Gifted and Talented programs. One thing that middle school changed was that our parents weren't involved. I was really upset though, when I found out that we couldn't do foreign languages until 8th grade. Honestly, I was really looking forward to that. Also, we have a Student Council, Civil Rights Team, and Student Allies (LGBTQ awareness). And, they actually have made a huge difference in our school. Well, overall, I like going to this school. Comparing it to my elementary schools is like comparing an apple and an orange.Other Review10y ago

"Dogs are welcome. Trails where dogs can be walked on leash. Dog stores and grooming available. Near woods where dog can walk off leash."

"I've lived in this downtown neighborhood for 2 years and I hate it. It's loud with sirens constantly screaming by. Drugs. and drunk people everywhere. No one is friendly. I'm moving to the suburbs as soon as I can."

"I moved to my current neighborhood a year ago and lived in my previous one for 13 years. I'm now much closer to my doctor's, dentist, grocery store and pharmacy. I enjoy the farmers market weekly and local artist within walking distance. I enjoy my current neighborhood much more and feel very safe day or night. I have lived in Maine since 88 and the major area was Waterville over most of those years. my children and my grandchildren have been educated here and they have wonderful programs for all interests. there is a diverse population of people and interests. "
