4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE IF THEY HAVE LEARNING DISABILITIES!!!!My child is 4 years old and it's been 6 months into the school year and her teacher has yet to find a way to consol her. Instead the teacher actively overwhelms my child despite her showing signs she can have high anxiety moments and does nothing to help her emotionally. Her teacher doesn't phone me when something is wrong so I have to find out AT THE END OF THE DAY that something went wrong. This school is elitist as it sits in a ridiculous neighborhood full of pompous privileged nimrods. They do nothing but shun those who need extra help and will make sure you know your child is not apart of the community.Parent Review2mo ago - J L Long Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a former student of JL long. I left due to an incident that happened there. But that isn't the reason I'm here to talk. I wanted to share how this school is bad. I went to this school in 2021-2022, I was in 7th grade. The safety for students isn't good, fights would happen every single day. Everyone would go to the hallways and try to watch the fight take place. I stayed away from that stuff. The student social media pages are also very bad. The worst ones are on Instagram, but I won't get into that. I pity anyone who is innocent and goes here for the first time. I understand that this is a public school and its kind of hard to handle 1480 kids at once, but if you are going to make it like an environment where I can't work right, then you just cant handle a school. Thats the end of my review. Thank you for your consideration.Other Review7mo ago - Woodrow Wilson High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageComing from private education K-8, the Woodrow experience has been amazing. Woodrow's IB program is allowing kids to excel in liberal arts, the STEM academy is accredited with PLTW, the premier STEM program, The Business academy is NAF certified, and the CAPA academy is famous for it's long tradition of the annual broadway musicals. The majority of the students are living under the poverty line, yet the school's results are the best in Dallas ISD for a 'choice' school (aka non-magnet).Principal Review7y ago - Check out schools near 4937 Victor St #A.

"I live in the best neighborhood in the US. Gorgeous bourse, walkable streets, friendly accepting neighbors, porch parties on Fridays with kids running around, and generally good people living their best lives."

"Wide streets, historic homes, friendly neighbors, tall trees, walking distance to parks and playgrounds"

"I have lived in this neighborhood for 20 years and it is a fabulous neighborhood. Extremely active in public affairs, Mom's groups, neighborhood porch parties 9 months of the year, great schools, lots going on, and we're central to everything. Within five miles of almost everything you'd want to do. Five or so blocks from I-30, which is a straight shot to Fort Worth (about 30-40 minute drive). Midway is Arlington with the Ballpark, the Cowboys, Six Flags, Water park (drawing a blank on the name, Hurricane Harbor?). Really, I don't think there's a better neighborhood, anywhere!"
