The organizers were so welcoming and the message was so well-received by the students. I was impressed by how well this school seemed to understand their students' needs, as well as their investment to provide resources to support their students' mental health. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal is enthusiastic and knows each child. The teachers are dedicated, hard-working, and kind. We love this place, and have 1 child who went K-5 there and another still attending. Cafeteria lunch is even edible! Some will tell you that you might prefer city schools, but don't be fooled into paying tuition to city schools when you have this top-flight option in the county. "You don’t see a lot of dogs downtown on Main Street but see dogs on walks and in parks all the time. Lots of hiking nearby, including the Appalachian Trail and Chessy Trail"

"Wonderful retirement location. The two universities (W&L and VMI) add to the uniqueness of Lexington. Young singles may find it boring but Roanoke and Harrisonburg are not far away. Lots of volunteer opportunities for retirees."
