Davis High is a great school with great teachers. My son is a senior and has had a great experience. Competition is pretty high as the town (Davis) is a small community with a very large University of California campus, and thus is filled with parents who have advanced degrees and very high academic standards. I suspect academically weaker students will feel this, but on the other hand academically talented students will have the opportunity to excel. If your child is not academically strong (or at least average) they may be best served by other alternatives in Davis (Da Vinci High), a private school, or in nearby high schools.

One of our kids have spent a few years at Pioneer so far. Excellent curriculum with lots of diversity in thought and we felt that the teachers have cared about the growth and development of our child. Teachers have high standards, which is what you would expect from a school in this particular area. We will be sending our other kids here when they get older.

Harper is a terrible school. The education is bad and the staff is horrible. But the sports are good hence why I gave 1 star.
