(There are also the familiar Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts and Haagen Dazs outlets.) There's even a FREE circulator bus which can take you around Bethesda (at no charge, obviously) and bring you back. Bethesda is a safe area - filled with businesses and nightlife. It was recently voted the "wealthiest town" in America but if you're young and willing to share an apartment, you can have a great life for a reasonably affordable monthly rent."
