"The neighbors are way to nosey and cop callers for no reason when they get drunk. (Which is OFTEN) cops drive by and spot light peoples houses for no apparent reason"
  • Rhiannon S.
"I’ve been living here basically my whole life it’s a cute little town. I feel it’s mainly a place people retire to since it’s so small and is perfect for that quite scene out in the valley. "
  • Linda M.
"It's small, since it's a small community people say hi and you get to know them. There are parades, craft faires and other small events that make it a nice people oriented place. "
  • Myles
"I probably don't have the best idea as I don't have kids here. But crime is high from what I understand and there's probably a meth problem like the rest of the west. But outdoor rec opportunities abound."
  • Myles
"It's the last gas for 70 miles. And you can't beat the access to Foster Lake and Green Peter. Hoodoo ain't far and bachelor is two hours."
  • Linda M.
"No parks nearby but the river is close. Very quiet, with the Circle and different roads to walk neighbors. "
  • Jen P.
"I've lived in this town almost all my life. it's like any other place it has its good and it's bad. everyone has to choose for themselves if the mountains and rivers and lake basically in your back yard are worth it or not. to me it's VERY worth it"
  • Pkmjk
"I do see people walking their dogs up the hill and down the hill it doesn't seem to bother them. animals at all."
  • Nichole R.
"we live off a busy highway. Sometimes animals get out and make it to the road. just be cautious and keep an eye on your pets."
  • Gaylatackitt

"I have lived here for 8 years, and really like it. This is a quiet area to live teeming with wildlife, and lots of trails. You are 40min to Eugene, Albany, and Corvallis. It is 50min to Salem, and 1.5Hrs to Portland or the coast. Lebanon is only 30min away for work/shopping, and Sweet Home has all the basics. Lots of activities for the outdoor enthusiast!! "
