this school needs a new admin. who's idea is it to make exams based off of attendance? students constantly feel like they HAVE to come to school when they're sick, when they have personal issues, etc. they care more abt the schools image than the students attending.

God no i don't recommend this school, there was like 11 fights in the final month of a school year, it's a underground fight club. Constant vandalism and stuff being stolen. People thrownchairs when teachers leave the room, The walls had mold on them and building was overall falling apart. Infested with roaches and rodents. NEVER SEND YOUR CHILD HERE

The principal is always available to talk to you, but there’s always problems to address. The assistant principal needs therapy!!! Teachers degrade students, screaming and yelling. The teachers I dealt with just wants to get through the year without caring if your child learns anything. Bullying is another issue with this school, your child gets blamed for retaliating, when they refuse to address the issue in the first place. The school counselor is never available to kids with bullying issues. My child seriously dislikes this school, and I can understand why.

Pender Early College is the best school in Pender County. In it's first graduating class alone, students have all been accepted to competitive universities including Harvard University, and received pretigious scholarships such as the Morehead-Cain scholarship at UNC-Chapel Hill. This can't be said for other schools in Pender County.
