"If you work downtown and take the ferry to work it’s a good commute but still a good hour. If you have to commute to midtown don’t do it to yourself"
  • Michael C.
"Historic Richmond town events throughout the year. This helps bring the community together. "
  • Melissa M.
"Very family oriented area, lot of kids. Pet friendly, very often walking their dogs at night, or just people taking a stroll, always feels safe.. lots of good schools as well"
  • Lexkhy
"the surrounding areas, schools nearby, bus stops, etc. parents also need to do well enough research on the demographics of the area you are living in."
  • Eric D.
"I drive ten minutes to work I work on the island for the city. The 57 and x15 are close by the 74 and 54 are quite a walk away. There’s a Russian supermarket and delis but they are quite a far walk as well a car is definitely a necessity. Be careful where you park any street parking in front of peoples houses the homeowners believe to be there’s so they will put nails in your tires key and kick in your car they have done it to mine which is now why with my new car I bought a camera. "
  • Mi55yluv
"I see people walk their dogs around the area all the time. Is a dog friendly area. A great area to live if you have kids also. "
  • Frtv
"I lived in this area for over ten years I have never had a problem the only thing is that if you want to park your car in front of your house you have to get there early other then that it is a wonderful neighborhood ."
  • Debanton110
"Richmondtown is the Center of Staten Island and is close proximity to all my everyday needs (shopping at Oakwood Shopping Centet) the SI Mall, St Patrick’s Church and School, NY Library and Richmondtown Restoration. There are also some stores on Richmond Road. All walkable!!"
  • Robert g. c.
