My grandson is autistic, his meltdowns were very light . After attending the school for one month they locked him in their so called safe room. He was screaming I'm scared and they ignored him... Finally they let him out then called my daughter and told her and sent him home... This wasn't in his I e p. For him to be in there , it's never happened to him at his other school. He had night mates after that and refused to go to school, when you mentioned school he would have a bad meltdown which is very unusual for him and dig his face and bang his head on the wall.. we have never ever seen this behavior from him before, my daughter had to send him to his father's to stay until her Apt she was waiting on was finally ready for her to move into. Hes very happy now... Other special needs children also had bad experiences with this school....my advice to anyone thinking of going there ? If your child is special needs and you love them as I'm sure you do... Find a different school , for your child's sake.

The 9th grade teachers appear to be just putting in their time, with little care for the students. They are at times sarcastic and lack enthusiasm. This is not an inspiring learning environment. Students are singled out and embarrassed in the classroom for not knowing the correct answer or not having a check for the chorus trip. This could be a truly great school but it is not. I hope to see the teachers put more effort and love into their work. They have the power to change the course of their students lives for the better.
