  • Sea.dooley2017
"From Rolando Village, itโ€™s about 10 minutes to the 8 or the 94 freeways, but then youโ€™re pretty central to everything "
  • Trulia User
"Gunshots heard at night are not uncommon. Nor is a police search helicopter circling around the neighborhood. "
  • Carmen M.
"I work from home. But this neighborhood is centrally locates with easy access to several major highways. "
  • K D.
"Dogs are walked all the time in the neighborhood and in 20 years never saw a dog fight or biting incident."
  • Shaira_cielo
"Pretty quiet, not much around for kids. But if you want to walk around I suggest a Park traffic and crazy drivers not the best area."
  • Silvia C.
"there are lots of places for dogs to do their business in. also people tend to be respectful towards the animal."
  • Roxanne R.
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years and I like many things about it. I have some concerns about the homeless in the area especially around clay park, which is part of why I don't want to raise my daughter here."
  • Roxanne
"Halloween with decorated houses and trick or treating! Community meetings and gatherings at local businesses. "
  • Michelle R.
"Itโ€™s safe, diverse, lots of homeowners, nice yards, families, couples, singles, pet-friendly, people take care of their yards, they smile and wave at each other on the streets. "
  • Hjunell1
"neighbors complain if your dog barks and does his/her job and will blast it all over next door. lots of people have pets though and those ones are awesome. "
  • Leonard B.
"not much. not a very friendly neighborhood. Ive seen too much crime and violence in my neighborhood "
  • Karasummerlin
"Idk there isnโ€™t a lot of grass. Itโ€™s hilarious t so itโ€™ll hurt their paws. Busy streets. Lots of cars. "
  • Leonard B.
"its not the best neighborhood to raise a family. lots of homeless people, prostitutes, and drugs. but rent is somewhat reasonable. "
  • Brian A.
"Older neighborhood that's becoming more family friendly as it's revitalized through home improvements and younger owners. Always been a friendly area without much of a crime problem. Walking the streets late at night is peaceful and safe."
  • James B.
"I moved here about a year ago and love it. I moved from the San Joaquin Valley where it's hot in the summer, cold and foggy in the winter, and almost the whole year, the air is filled with unknown chemicals and dust. Anyway, I moved to SD and my realtor showed me this neighborhood with more reasonably priced houses and still close enough to all of the great attractions of SD. I am happy in the neighborhood; it's generally quiet and safe but within walking distance of good restaurants, bars, and shopping. My neighbors (so far) are all super pleasant and easy to get along with!! "
  • jenrgoldstein
"I live here and it's extremely quiet and we feel safe. My husband walks our dog late at night and early in the morning and always feels completely comfortable. Really glad we chose this area to live in."
  • Jed a. J.
"Great rental area, close to SDSU, restaurants and transportation. And also offer quiet pocket areas perfect for families!"
  • Kyle M.
"An incredibly unusual area in San Diego - neighborly, friendly, people know you (in a good way) and watch out for you - I call it the little "Leave it to Beaver" pocket of San Diego. Folks care about their neighborhood and actively try to improve it - lots of community participation. Wouldn't live anywhere else in San Diego!"
  • shill
"Extremely walkable location; close to public transportation and trolly; close to SDSU, I-8 and I-94; close to shopping and restaurants"
