"Good place to raise a family, schools are decent. Police presence is good. One of the biggest problems is the traffic congestion and people driving crazy. People are some times friendly but they do mind their own business all the time. "
  • Estela
"Good neighborhood but traffic only reason I would like to move to another neighborhood maybe valley stream or oceansides. "
  • Estela
"Cedarhurst is a good place to live it has good school but don’t offer extra help for students. Police presence is good, 911 response is on time. Negative side people drive like crazy in this area, home ownership and rent are very expensive. Good place to raise a family. "
  • Freda S.
"Nothing dogs are leashed. Owners pickup the poop. Sidewalks are very clean. Cedarhurst is a great town to walk a dog. "
  • Saige S.
"This is where i live partially and i love it. it is a super safe area and is great for kids. i personally love that you do not even need a car here. there are so many family owned stores in walking distance and the train down the block. beautiful parks. i love it. "
  • D D. R.
"Quiet peaceful town with great shopping. There is good parking at the LIRR. Many Schools, schules and public schools. Excellent police presence. And school crossing guards are abundant. Town part of Five Towns area and is on Nassau-Queens border. "
  • Stella P
"Good neighborhood to raise a family. It’s a bit heave in traffic on the week days and on Sunday. So pretty much Saturday is the only peaceful day but it’s a very save neighborhood."
  • AJ R.
"Very religious community. Most stores closed on Saturday. Must travel to neighboring towns for shopping. "
  • Alva F.
"best neighborhood in five towns great stors, great restaurants and bery safe for walk in night.. ......"
  • Patdonato52
"I like that is a friendly community. It is a mixture of people. Family oriented. Property kept nicely. Public transportation close by and the airport. Very convenient."
  • Unspecified
"I live in this neighborhood and it's very safe. However, vehicular traffic can be a bit too much, not as quiet as Lawrence or Woodmere. Schools are good and safe. The stores are close by, buses, train and JFK airport. It's a good place for the family if you don't mind the traffic. Afternoon commute can be crazy. I been living here for 7 years and I love it. "
  • albaneselady
"I always liked Cedarhurst for shopping and dinning. My favorite restaurant La Terraza is right there, also the best salon spa in Long Island Long Island beauty salon, i go to Cedarhurst once a week."
