7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe couldn't be happier with Hilton Head International Bac. This is one of the few elementary schools that offers challenging immersion courses in both Chinese and Spanish. More importantly, they focus on teaching children to accept new cultures and ideas. Our daughter was allowed to start a difficult Chinese immersion class mid-year and was given a warm welcome despite being the new kid from a European country who spoke a foreign language. She was greeted with enthusiasm and curiousity. The teachers are excellent, the principal and school staff are well organized and do a great job keeping parents informed and involved. I've read a couple of reviews from other parents who like to refer to their children as "gifted" or in the top "%" who seem to have unrealistic expectations of special treatment for their kids. Hilton Head IB provides quality education to all of it's students. If you want a well balanced child who develops excellent communication skills and a broader understanding for how the world works I would strongly recommend Hilton Head International Bac. If you want to obsess over your child getting special treatment maybe you should have them pampered in a private school.Parent Review13y ago7 Reviews - Hilton Head Island High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageComing into this school, my first impression was very positive. Everyone seemed kind and respectful, and it appeared that they cared about accommodating your needs—at least the ones they chose to acknowledge.I worked there from August to December, which was the original plan with the school system. However, during the second week of school, I was told they wanted me there “full time” because they enjoyed having me and had received great feedback about my work. Despite this, I later received a sudden call informing me that they had found other staff to replace my position—after already asking me to commit full-time and expecting full-time responsibilities.Within just three weeks of working there, I experienced bullying from another staff member who is still employed at the school. She was consistently rude, disrespectful, and dismissive, treating her assistants poorly and creating a toxic work environment. There were several moments where I genuinely felt unsafe, and despite bringing these concerns to administration multiple times, nothing changed. Each time, I was told the situation had been “handled,” yet the issues continued. In the end, without warning, I received a call on a random Monday informing me that I no longer had a job—leaving the problem unresolved and my concerns ignored. My experience with the staff and overall environment was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this school for anyone seeking a supportive or truly educational experience. The staff seem far more concerned with enforcing dress code than prioritizing the actual needs and growth of their students, which is incredibly concerning.Other Review5mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 46 Wee Rd.

"Nearby car show events come frequently to area that is walkable from this neighborhood. We also have the University of South Carolina across the way which makes this neighborhood very desirable to any who have jobs or children that are looking to go to college without having the hefty bill of living on campus that usually comes with dormitory living. Overall, this community allows you to live near Hilton Heqd Islqnd without the hefty price tag and keeps you away from the busiest part of the area of Bluffton. It’s the best of both worlds. You live near all the popular tourist attractions, including Savannah, but are able to travel into any of the above mentioned locations within 15-30 minutes depending on traffic. Because this neighborhood is so close to Savannah, it will become your second home as you venture in often for the variety of dining, attractions and shopping. "

"Okatie is a well kept secret. People are catching on, though. We live in a beautiful home right on the marsh. We have deer, foxes, and raccoons in our yard every single day. At high tide, we see DOLPHINS strand feeding and they’re practically in our back yard. Our neighbors are well educated, friendly, and trustworthy. They’re helpful too. We have found our very own paradise here. "

"Traffic in the 715 to 845 am is always congested in the school months. Bluffton is a one way town on to Hilton head island. Accidents are common with the tourist and cause major backups on the 278 highway. "
