There are numerous parks, extensive recreation programs, a 15 mile trail network, the Clifton Commons sports complex, and an active Senior Community Center.

Community garden run by Capitol Roots.
Basketball court and a children's playground.
Two Head Start schools within the community. One run by CAPTAIN Community Human Services, (Cheryl's Lodge) also provides tax services, senior citizen gatherings, after school club, reading club, homework club, peace camp, free summer meals, a free bread giveaway and so much more. The other is run by LifeWorks Community Action.
