7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe've had the privilege of experiencing the Peak Expeditionary School community for nearly four years now. As a parent who is highly involved, I regularly observe firsthand how deeply the staff care for our kids and families and engage in meaningful ways unique to each student. I continue to be amazed that so many staff know every single student as well as most caregivers. For us, it feels like an extension of our family. Our child LOVES going to school!!! The staff and teachers are flexible, conscientious, caring, creative, dedicated, and insightful, and they deeply value working together. I so appreciate that this community welcomes dialogue and feedback and will make adjustments when positive outcomes can be gained. We've faced some behavior challenges over the years which were all met with honest and supportive conversations with teachers and the principal. Peak truly strives to be a safe place where kids can learn and grow and be challenged holistically. I resoundingly believe being part of this Peak CREW has fundamentally changed my expectations for what is possible within the school setting. We feel so fortunate that we discovered the ideal learning environment for our child (who is thriving) while also unexpectedly gaining access to such a remarkable community of humans.Parent Review5mo ago24 Reviews - Wheat Ridge High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is our 2nd year with a student at WRHS and I would say our son is thriving. He has found his groove: academically, socially and emotionally. He's happy and so are we. He has the supports he needs at school (he as a 504 plan and their team has been amazing in getting him to be part of this process to make adjustments as needed). The community feels like we live a small town, even though we are in metro Denver, and we know and feel comfortable with many of the kids and their families since we've known a lot of them since elementary school. He is not a sports super star, yet he was able to participate in soccer and wrestling as a freshman and now he has decided to stick with the mountain bike team (yes, we have a mountain bike team!) and has really found his people. We're so happy we decided to send our son to WRHS and plan to send our younger son here as well.Parent Review1mo ago13 Reviews - Check out schools near 4574 Everett St.

"I don’t go downtown very often. The traffic in Colorado in general has gotten unbearable at times in comparison to the traffic as it was a few years ago and seems to be getting worse and worse every year. "

"No real sidewalks! We just have those dumb curbs for walking along the street. Prefer to walk in the parks. "

"Nearby parks, friendly neighbors, lots of dog owners, and mostly good weather. There are no gated neighborhoods nearby, so we can freely walk the dog through a variety of interesting neighborhoods and visit several pocket parks. There are also a couple vet hospitals and several veterinary doctors practicing near us. There are also some really cool pet shops with dog food, treats, and toys for purchase."

"The history of the area, as mostly Truck farms, is celebrated as local urban farms and many people turning their yards into food producing gardens. you can relax in your yard and hear chickens, horses walking along the streets and the soft hum of the highway."
