If you report something to the administaration especially if you have an issue well then you need to be ready to be under attack and for administration to bully you and your child!!! Instead of solving the issue they try to make up issues or redirect the problem or they just never respond. In person or email! Bullying is the least of your worries at this school.

This school faces a lot of challenges being located in a neighborhood with such high rates of poverty, but the staff and leadership are incredible. The teachers work overtime to make sure kids feel engaged and excited to learn, and Principal Golden is a dedicated and tireless advocate for her students. Despite the challenges, the school has a number of resources to support families and kind, caring staff who go the extra mile to work with parents and caregivers. It's a truly special community.

I am a parent of an 8th grade Academy student and I think this school would be great if there were more visible authority figures, more qualified and quality instructors, and the school day wasn't spent trying to keep children in order, the school year has been extended so when the kids have breaks they students who are not in intersession have skill retention activities so that they don't lose what they've learned, and their summers shouldn't be shortened because in my opinion it's not how long they spend in school but the quality of what they're learning and qualifications of the instructors to be able to reach these students.
