If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The environment was bad, teachers were bad, and the school in general. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

School is not a good environment or supportive. Needs tons of improvement. Stay on top of advocating for your teens because they don't care.

Arnold has the best rapport with their students, staff, and families. You can tell they are all on the same team working towards the same goals. We appreciate Arnold.

This review is for parents of advanced or high-achieving students.My child was in fourth grade reading at a ninth-grade level. Instead of being advanced or challenged, she was pushed to help other students in class.When helping other students affected her ability to finish her own assignments, she was marked down as “immature.” Then that same “immaturity” was used as the reason she could not advance.Keeping an advanced child in a lower grade can make grade-level scores look stronger. It does not mean the child is being taught at their level.I tolerated this for years because I was told advancing my child could affect future opportunities, including Oxford Academy. Looking back, I wish I had questioned that more.A Zoom meeting was scheduled, but during the meeting it was changed to a phone call because I was told Zoom was not working. That felt concerning because this was an important discussion about my child’s placement.Enrollment has declined from around 700 students, to 663, and now 639. The school community feels different. I am aware of families who left, including families who chose homeschooling because they felt the school was not teaching or challenging their children enough.Miss Donskoy is a great teacher. She is one of the reasons I stayed as long as I did, which is why I was even more shocked by how my child’s advancement was handled.
