"Afton Oaks is the quintessential Houston inner loop neighborhood. Walking distance to River Oaks District with restaurants, bars, shopping and movies. Short drives to Post Oak, the Galleria, River Oaks and West U. Immediate access to 59, 610, I-10, 45 and 288. The neighborhood is filled kids, dogs and very friendly people. We have lived here 3 years and would not live anywhere else inside the loop."

"Really two distinct neighborhoods- River Oaks and Afton Oaks. Overall a great neighborhood but expensive to the most expensive in Houston (River Oaks). River oaks elementary is probably the best public elementary school in town. Safe - you can walk around here at night. "
