7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt's ok. From what i've seen and heard being there, most of the teachers are good teachers (except Mr. Bear). The staff treat me well and I try to treat them well back. I will admit, most of the classes Ive been in have had at least one consistent troublemaker. Most of the more strict rules in said classes do cause people to dislike the teachers, the rules are in place so they can spend more time teaching instead of dealing with problems. I do always hope that I don't get an actually bad teacher. The school is somewhat safe: for those who try to be. The special education programs are great, I can speak from experience. Well, I never needed THAT much help at this school. I do pass by the classrooms for the more high matinince and they treated well. I see some of them participate in school activities from time to time. The building is mostly clean, the janitors do a good job cleaning. If you can't deal with odors well: avoid the bathrooms. The "mostly clean" part is because the students treat the bathrooms terribly. I have one other thing to say but it would break the guidelines if I were to. Its nothing bad I just don't risk it.this is probably highly biasedTLDR: its good for those who try (and get good teachers). its safe for safe people, physically clean and most of the staff try.Student Review4mo ago12 Reviews - Faubion Middle School

"You have to have a car in order to commute there’s no buses coming to McKinney to go to Dallas it’s a new community where I live which is new Hope the street of still small and very narrow traffic is very heavy it takes an hour and a half in the morning to get to Mockingbird Lane which is very frustrating it is nice and quiet it’s just too many people moving here now"

"I am a homeowner of over 20 years and you'd be Crazy to spend that kind of money for THIS neighborhood. Check CRIME stats and noise complaints. You'll Thank Yourself later. Same money in better areas will get you a Wonderful property in a NICE neighborhood "

"McKinney is a beautiful place with mature trees and well maintained foliage. There are working class people with well mannered children. I love Halloween because people trick or treat with their kids and some pets and people decorate their homes with a flair for fun! I would raise children here if I were younger but I enjoy being a empty nester! 😊"
