"It’s a great area, love the local eats close by and can walk to Fred Meyer. The dog parks are awesome!"
  • Valvoline777
"Island park nearby has events including fireworks show. Bike trail only minutes away that can lead you anywhere, even around Eugene."
  • Gracie U.
"This neighborhood is very walkable, friendly, and cute! Really beautiful trees and flowers adorn neighbors yards. "
  • Sarcasticlemon
"I drive on roads and walk on the sidewalks. Sometimes I have to wait at traffic signals but usually I am ambulatory or mobile. "
  • Hillary L.
"I drive daily but there are several bus stops and short walk to the emx line and several grocery stores within short walking distance "
  • Brittany R.
"lots of dog owners here. very approachable. they leash their dogs unless secluded from others. several parks near by and a dog park"
  • Bradytyndall3737
"It’s a good area for dogs lots of random fields to run around on and for you to take your dog to the bathroom at"
  • Tammy R.
"Very dog friendly people have dogs on leashes sometimes you’ll see them at the park without a leash because they’re playing catch the well behaved ones are off leashes very family oriented and Some businesses you can take your dogs into"
  • Linda
"Gets busy but not horrible. Buses run pretty well. Some express buses. Fair amount of stops. Connects with Eugene easily. The rush hour is usually 30 minutes unless there is an accident or other delay. But, if possible, I would take the bus. The roads are getting busier as time goes on."
  • Lea4143
"I like Springfield and eugine I've been here over a month and am thinking of relocating here half of the year people are friendly and I love all the trees"
  • Chris
"Springfield has pockets of homeowners who care, parent their children, and are responsible citizens. But there are other areas within the city that are sketchy. Not necessarily crime ridden, but just trashier. You have to know the area to know which neighborhoods are respectable. "
  • Rhonda D.
"Make sure you have a Community that care. Also know the difference between common sense and stupidity when it comes to people and their neighborhoods. There are certain crazies in town, you need to make sure you know the whereabouts of your children and who are with them. Better be safe than sorry."
  • Cateduke
"I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years. Feels safe and friendly. Nice mix of older and younger neighbors."
  • Heather A.
"easy access to public transit and close to downtown Springfield and eugene but its trash. there is graffiti and homeless people camping out and doing drugs in stairwells, bushes and under stairs. police sirens multiple times a day. I find needles in the park and laundry mat. stay far far away."
  • Alienhair86
"We have a very friendly neighborhood where everyone looks after each other. The kids play together and on the 4th of July the whole neighborhood participated in the activities."
  • Klsub1530
"It’s a nice neighborhood all the neighbors are friendly and it’s close to shopping And schools and parks"
  • Jillian W.
"The schools here aren’t so great and there not much to do like there is to do in places like Portland but there is beautiful places to go hikes. I grew up on the McKenzie and absolutely loved it "
  • Meesa
"There’s a walking/bike path that goes a few miles. Starting near shopping and bus lines it goes around parks and school, even a tennis court. Lots of grass along the way for your dog to relieve himself. Most people are decent enough to clean it up. The path ends up over near a river and a new path that runs another direction along nature area with wildlife for your dog to bark at. "
  • Normasackett
"I am retired and drive in when I need to. The commute to Springfield downtown is about 10minutes and the commute to Eugene is 15 to 20. Also about 20 minutes to drive up the river to camping, fishing, kayaking, etc."
  • Mikailaeaston0109
"Very friendly, kind, quiet, kinda small for my family and we are in a townhouse and would love to be in a home. "
  • Chris B.
"Couldn't be more central to Eugene, hwy126, Franklin near UofO, Autzen Stadium and I-5. Also close to Willamette River, rock flats, two parks, miles of Jogging trails, also fishing in river or ponds. "
  • Lizcierra
"Close to bus line. Close to schools. Short. Easy. Lots of stop lights and crosswalks. Choices on commute. Freeway is very close. City driving also a option. Close to EMX bus line. Lyft and Uber also"
  • Angeladebary
"It's close to a great dog park. People walk their dogs all the time. Most back yards are fenced. I haven't really heard many barking dogs."
  • Bambi R. E.
"dogs are often off leash in the neighborhood.... we do have lots of wild life around im usually a little more cautious about having my dog out with little supervision"
  • Ryan D. N.
"New here in Oregon and am loving it so far. I go to school here and the environment of the area I live in is nic 😎"
  • Melody M.
"Do not like it here, leaving Lane County...going home to Clackamas County where I belong...some areas are ok,,some not so much...pretty much the same in Clackamas County, but you get used to your hometown after 11 years."
  • Christeenajackson
"It’s a mixed neighborhood, working class, retired, and families. The school systems leave you wanting more. There aren’t many restaurants, or good quality grocery stores within a mile. "
  • Lindsey
"Dogs are welcome and very friendly! Also 2 parks within walking distance and lots of families are always walking their pets. "
