I could just cut and past what the 1 star reviewer from July posted. Appalling. They have no consequences for the bullies and seem to not even care when parents pull their children out because they are being bullied. If your child is not cookie-cutter, forget it. They care only about test scores and looking good to the outside world. Bullying is such a problem in this school but the administration seems to have little to no interest in rectifying it. Children who have been reported numerous times for bullying and cruel behavior are still crossing-guards, cheerleaders, etc. There seem to be no consequences. Child have an IEP? Go somewhere else, not worth the fight to get what you are legally entitled to to accommodate your child. Sorry we moved here.

Horrible. Ottawa Hills High School is a place where image and status seem to matter more than the well-being and individuality of its students. The community is filled with elitism, and both students and parents are preoccupied with how they are perceived, creating an atmosphere that is more about appearances than genuine personal growth. If you don't fit into the cookie-cutter mold of what Ottawa Hills expects, you are quickly ostracized. Whether it's because of your background, your interests, or simply not conforming to the “perfect” image they promote, you are treated as an outsider by both peers and faculty. My daughter, for instance, was unfairly labeled as a “bad kid” by teachers and students alike. Despite her intelligence and potential, she was subjected to negative stereotypes and was treated with blatant disrespect. The administration, which claims to care about students, seemed more interested in maintaining their polished reputation than in supporting anyone who didn't meet their narrow standards. Teachers, rather than offering guidance, were quick to judge and isolate her, contributing to an environment where only those who fit a very specific mold are valued. Ottawa Hills, instead of being a place of growth and support, is a breeding ground for elitism, superficiality, and exclusion. It's a school that rewards conformity and punishes anyone who dares to be different. If you are thinking about sending your child here, DON'T DO IT.
