7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter is in Kindergarten with Mrs. VK after attending Western Christian for the last 3 years and absolutely loves it! She comes home every day sharing what she learned and how much she loves learning with her peers. The parents in the class are very engaged, we see many of them at birthday parties or school events like movie night. The school loves volunteers and many parents help out often. Our principal is out in the front of the school every day with a big smile and greeting kids while helping with drop off.The BLAST program has been amazing, my daughter doesn't want to come home! She has so much fun and it's my understanding that in the further grades, they do their homework, a major help to us working parents! While Western Christian gave us an amazing experience, my daughter has never been more excited to learn and grow! I HIGHLY recommend Chaparral. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe bullying is out of control. Racial and LGBT slurs shouted across the lunch area and sexual assault threats made both out and inside the classroom. The teachers don't seem even remotely aware of Title IX or know how to fix the problem. The principal and assistant principal seem useless in this regard. The bullies are never punished, and it's the bullied who must do things to avoid them. As well, learning is disrupted by these behaviors.
