About this House

Cozy and rustic fully furnished one bedroom/one bath guesthouse with a sleeping loft located directly on the Black River. Bring your boat! Rent INCLUDES electricity, water, sewer, trash pickup, lawncare, and Wifi and streaming services Hulu, Hulu Live, Paramount +, Disney + and Prime Video. Located about an 18 minute drive from Georgetown, SC, and only 10 minutes from shopping in Andrews, this sweet little home has a fully outfitted kitchen with stainless appliances, a comfortable living area with electric fireplace, easy chairs, and a sofa bed. Through barn doors are a queen bedroom and a bathroom with a two-sink vanity, a shower/bath combination and a washer and dryer. The closet is open with shelving. Upstairs is a a two-person sleeping loft with a large closet. There are wooden blinds and curtains at all of the windows except the kitchen, which looks out to the covered back porch.

The back porch with seating and a gas barbecue grill gives you a beautiful view of - and access to - the river!

The guesthouse is adjacent to our family cabin, with full use of the upper deck overlooking the river, the former boathouse on the river with a fish-cleaning station, running water, small refrigerator, fan and bistro lights. There is a 25 ft floating dock with metal retractable gangplank. The private boat launch for the community is 1/4 mile away and there is plenty of room to park and moor your boat at the property.

The entire property is fenced in with an electric gate, great neighbors and you can bring your cat or dog (deposit required.) There is a small electric platform elevator next to the stairs which will transport ice chests or heavier items up and down. There are still upgrades we are making to the property. Fully Furnished, 6 - 12 month lease. All utilities and lawncare included. Wi-Fi, streaming TV, and trash pick-up included. One pet is welcome with $275 non-refundable deposit. No smoking. Car and boat parking included. Boat may be moored at floating dock. Deposit equal to one month's rent due at signing, refundable upon inspection at end of lease.

    "It’s a historic area, the second oldest port in the state of South Carolina. The streets are lined with live oak trees that never go bear. They shed their leaves a little bit in February. But it’s beautiful and green on every street all year round. I love trees more than anything. So this makes this place happen to me. Although living in a small town, it can get quite gossipy so I do keep to myself. At least when it comes to the important stuff. But in general, everyone here is very friendly. And when hurricanes happen people work together to help each other."
