"Good Quie place to live and raise your children there is a swimming pool close and a recreation park "
  • Trulia User
"Have lived here for several years. We have some great neighbors who look out for one another. 95% of the time our neighborhood is quiet. Love having a larger lot (in DC terms) and tons of street parking. "
  • Trulia User
"nice place to live, always so quiet and peaceful. people works and keep the houses well maintained. "
  • Trulia User
"I have live in this neighborhood for almost 3 years and us pretty quiet (the most important for me) "
  • Alandia B.
"There are not many poop and scoop signs so most people let their pets poop and not scoop. There should be more of an effort to clean up behind your pets. "
  • Jacqueline V.
"There are plenty of places to walk your dog safely, but, unless the dog is very well-trained, I wouldn't let him off -leash. Too many busy roads. I most definitely would NEVER LEAVE DOGS UNATTENDED tied to a post outside a store, nor would I leave my dog outside alone in the yard. Unfortunately, pets (dogs and cats) are being stolen CITYWIDE. Many of the pets are never seen again, and it is widely believed that these pets are stolen to be used as bait in dog fighting. I wish I had a more positive response. A family friend's little dog was stolen in a matter of minutes when she was left in the backyard, and was never seen again."
  • Jacqueline V.
"The bus route that I normally take, 96/97, is extremely busy, and often too crowded, with not enough room for younger, able-bodied passengers, much less the MANY senior and handicapped passengers. The bus route takes it thru some very high traffic, congested areas of the city. The non-rush hour route (96) is one of the longest routes in the city, running completely across town. When seats are available - and when the windows work and heat/air conditioning is working properly, it's nice to be able to take that bus from one end of the city to the other. VERY long ride, so bring your patience."
  • Jacqueline V.
"It's a fairly quiet neighborhood, conveniently located near Benning Rd. Metro Station and East Capitol Street NE/SE, just across the Anacostia River from the Capital Hill. There's parkland surrounding the neighborhood, where picnic areas abound."
  • Jacqueline V.
"I wouldn't let my kids go out by themselves. Not so much of an issue in my apartment complex, but the city in general seems to to be seeing an upswing in violent crime and random shootings. There's a recreation center just up the street, with a pretty decent play area."
  • Theresamccoy
"Historic charm, access to the national mall, MD and VA, new development in the community, and culture."
  • Akil W.
"Great home for anyone with long term vision. Near the metro and transportation. "
