About this House

Combining timeless architecture, a thoughtful renovation, and an unbeatable East Wilmette location just steps to the beach, this is truly the home you have been waiting for. Perfectly positioned on an exceptional .3-acre corner lot in sought-after East Wilmette, this beautifully renovated and expanded residence seamlessly blends classic design with thoughtful, high-end updates throughout. The kitchen is truly special, where carefully curated details-from top-of-the-line appliances including SubZero, Thermador, and Miele to a one-of-a-kind custom tile backsplash by a local Evanston artist-bring warmth, character, and a subtle connection to the outdoors. A thoughtfully redesigned mudroom, laundry room, and additional powder room-created from the original attached garage-keep daily living organized and out of sight. A butler's pantry with wet bar leads to the formal dining room, while the living room showcases beautiful custom millwork and a fireplace that serves as a stunning focal point. Just beyond, the fully rebuilt screened porch offers the perfect spot to unwind and creates a seamless extension of the home. Upstairs, four bedrooms include a spacious primary suite with dual closets and a well-appointed bath featuring a soaking tub and separate shower. Three additional bedrooms share a large hall bath with a double vanity. The fully reimagined lower level-dug out to accommodate eight-foot ceilings-offers incredible additional living space with radiant heated floors, a bedroom, full bath, recreation area, and abundant storage. No detail has been overlooked outside, where extensive hardscape and landscape improvements create multiple inviting outdoor living areas, including a custom outdoor kitchen, pergola, firepit, and beautifully designed patios and walkways-all enhanced by updated landscape lighting. All of this in an unbeatable location just moments from the beach, Wilmette's vibrant downtown, the Metra, and the El-offering the very best of North Shore living.

  • A.e.wolff
"Family environment. Summer beach nights. Open spaces and parks. Amazing schools with good progression. "
  • Aaron Walter
"Lots of other dogs in the neighborhood. Most everyone cleans up after their pets. The sidewalks are great for long walks. Lots of open spaces to play."
  • Hyun Y.
"V affluent area with diversity. Great school system, safe and clean. Can’t complain. Very kids friendly"
  • Smithp78
"Easy to commute to downtown via Metra. Not always easy to find parking at Metra after 7:15. A lot of people walk. Possible to drive downtown but takes up to 90 minutes in morning rush. "
  • Shannon J.
"People are extremely welcoming and friendly. We moved here a few months ago, and have never felt so immediately at home in a community!"
  • Iltonz
"I see people walking their dogs all the time, and they seemed happy! There are great parks and green areas for dogs in general."
  • Cheryl
"Lots of responsible dog owners walking their dogs in this area. People pick up after their dogs. Xxxxxxxxx"
  • Iam.pethcha

  • Jujujuice
"Lots of families. It’s a real community feel and people are very neighborly. And of course, great schools!"
  • Teresa
"Clean & wide sidewalks, many parks, fenced in dog beach plus another dog park. Many people own dogs & walk them several times a day. "
  • Zean N.
"It’s an amazing place to raise a family. Clean. Safe. Great schools. Close to the lake. Close to Chicago but far enough away to have a small town community feel. "
  • Miriam H
"Having a CTA station within a mile from our house makes the commute to Chicago doable. Depending on the day driving to and from the city during rush hour using Lakeshore or 94 is a hassle..."
  • Adroaras
"Certain parks are closed to dogs, but overall this is a dog friendly neighborhood. Also most of the parks have a poop bag station."
  • Satish Kumar
"very diverse demographics than past years! vibrant community, great facilities, amazing schools and school staff."
  • Teresa K.
"Great. All back roads to NU. never have to get on the free way. Only mild back UPS on Greenbay avenue during rush hour. There are lots of schools along the way which can slow you down due to buses and speed zones but that is the least of my worries "
  • Charles A.
"There are plenty of sidewalks and parks in the area. The only problem is there are no legal off leash parks within walking distance. "
  • Masahito J.
"Great schools, safe neighborhood, kids ride their bikes everywhere worry-free. Shops within walking distance. Great beach. Close to Chicago. "
  • Teresa K.
"very safe and very well maintained. prices are okay compared to our neighbors in Evanston. some neighborhoods, the houses all look the same but I enjoy the older neighborhoods where the homes have lots of old charm and character "
  • Keassouad
"Lake with beach, schools, access, community, restaurants, athletics, space to play transportation and character. "
  • Castle117
"I grew up here. Great forest preserve bike trails, the beach, pool clubhouse, and an excellent school district. "
  • cdtangney
"I have lived on and off in Wilmette for 30+ years. Grew up here. Eventually moved back here to raise my own family. Its one of the safest places in the country. The schools are excellent. The parks are beautiful, clean and have updated equipment. The Park District, With all that it has to offer for kids and adults, is incredible. The people are actively involved throughout the neighborhood. There are a few new dining and nightlife venues that are helping to make Wilmette all inclusive. Access to a great pool facility and one of the best beaches on the North shore just make it for this area. I highly recommend Wilmette to any young couple getting started, to anyone wanting to raise a family and to those looking to finish out their lives filled with quiet beauty in a safe place."
  • cg
"Have lived here for 10 years. The schools are superb and the people are like people anywhere. Some are nice and some are snotty but you can ignore them. Its great for the things that matter. Traffic getting into Chicago is usually bad but the Metra train is great."
  • conceptking
"Walking distance to everything - CTA, Metra, Parks, Beach, shopping in Wilmette and Evanston Central St. area. And a short drive to Sheridan Road/LSD and i-94.Phenomenal for families of all ages with nationally recognized and award winning schools. A fantastic and safe neighborhood and a hidden gem that borders Evanston. If there's a house that's within your budget range, make an offer - you will not be disappointed. "
  • lindamcz123
"I used to live in this community years ago and loved every day. There are two malls within walking distance. A couple of bus lines that can take you the the downtown train. Excellent expressway access going both north or south. The Park district is right across the street with an amazing Gym, child care and much, much more. LOVE Wilmette, and this area of it."
