    "I live in Rhinelander, but out just enough to be in the country....deer, turkey and bear walking thru the yard, but 5 minutes from Walmart! The best of both worlds!!"

    "There is a paper mill in Rhinelander. The mill releases pollution and about once a month I have a serious respiratory event when the air plume drifts towards my residence. The city has very low crime. Pet waste is a problem. Pet owners are not very good at cleaning up after their dogs. The medical facilities are good. There is an organic Food market which just expanded and offers meats, produce etc. which is locally grown. The surface of many streets here are in need of repair and have been patched excessively. The city needs a new water well and other major infrastructure renovations. The city does not allow small businesses to operate from home on the internet even though the State of WI allows it with a sellers permit for $10. All business activity must be in a commercial zone. The city has super services for senior citizens. There is a senior bus, and special low rate for cabs.($3) a ride. There are several senior programs to help the geriatric population remain at home ; Meals on wheels, and recreation at the Senior Center. It is a terrible landscape for biking. There are many steep hills and the bike trails are not trails at all. Bike paths are on busy streets until they reach a park setting. "

    "Small lake with no public access....very quiet I have lived here for 11 yrs couldn't be in a nicer area if you are wanting the real northwoods experience. Love the Eagles!"
