7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have three children who have attended Pleasant Hill. This is our 8th year of having at least one child there. Overall Pleasant Hill is great. Two of my children have received extra services and testing for disabilities and I’ve been very happy with the staff and how they’ve helped my students with these hurdles. Very happy to be at Pleasant Hill.Parent Review1y ago22 Reviews - Knox Wiley Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids have attended Knox Wiley. My oldest is now in high school, and my youngest is finishing his last year here. Overall, it’s a very average experience. When my oldest was enrolled, he received special education services. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much that felt “special” about it — the feedback from teachers often sounded like a broken record: “I have to tell him a lot that he needs to focus.” There wasn’t a lot of meaningful support beyond that.As for my youngest, we’ve seen both positives and negatives.1.Bullying is a real problem — and it’s something you’ll need to stay aware of.2.Teacher quality is hit or miss — some truly care, while others seem to be just going through the motions.3.Band is in a world of its own — while the band sounds incredible, the directors seem more focused on building their own resumes. Multiple parents have shared concerns about directors belittling or yelling at students. Holding kids accountable is important, but repeated reports of yelling cross the line.Lastly, while this school isn’t in Austin, drug issues are still present — it’s important not to assume it’s completely safe.I wouldn’t say Knox Wiley is the worst option out there, but I do recommend staying involved and keeping a close eye on your child’s experience.Parent Review9mo ago11 Reviews - Rouse High School

"It’s a very nice neighborhood, the only downside is there is no school zones on the major road, and no cross walks for the children in the Larkspur neighborhood."

"very safe and comfortable being here. we just love this area. it’s family oriented and still somewhat of a small town feeling still as compared to cedar park now. "

"The subdivision I am in is great. People are clean and respectful. There is very little borrowing a cup of sugar, but that’s ok. A lot of people go for walks in the morning and there is a golf course near by. There are restaurants near, and more on the way."

"Need more business to move in - strictly a bedroom community right now. Train service take too much of our tax revenues - sad state of affairs. Water issues and too expensive to water your yard (which the city requires you to do???)"

"It’s a medium priced neighborhood with nicer homes; people generally take good care of their homes/yards. There is a community pool/playground that is used quite a bit. There are sidewalks and streetlights all thru the area."

"Nicest neighborhood we have ever lived in, after 20+years in military towns. Very quiet and lots of friendly people. Some rentals in the area, so that could be an issue in the future. Safe area for now, but with Ronald Reagan building up, there are sure to be lots of issues. The schools are amazing and worth the higher taxes in the area. "
