"Low crime, good neighbors. People keep their yards well maintained and they are generally friendly."
  • Jvspearsjr
"Olney is centrally located with easy access to major roads. Traffic is not usually a problem. My commute to an office 10 miles away will typically take about twenty minutes to reach."
  • Amy Lee
"Great park options and walking paths scattered in walking distance. Pool membership with HOA. Crime is picking up though."
  • Dianne W.
"So far I’ve lived in Leisure World for 4 years, it’s okay, not so much the hype it wants to be though! Security is totally unprofessional, and neighbors are just that neighbors. There’s a cost for everything here that involves activities except walking. The Giant grocery store is the worst Giant in this area better to just go to the one in Olney, other than the above mentioned enjoy Leisure World of Silver Spring not Olney! "
  • Trulia User
"Very good place to live. Safe and friendly. Nice quiet place. They have nice pool. Cleaning commute. "
  • Trulia User
"The pool is great, not too crowded and well maintained. The swim teams is very popular. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. Lots of walkers, dogs and kids."
  • Trulia User
"Excellent elementary school, safety and healthy food store. However, when your child goes to middle and high school the rating is ber poor for my assessment they do not carry out on the same academic, social, equality and diversity in the schools system is not rationally available at either academic level. Overall the neighborhood is great. Been here 26 years."
  • Trulia User
"People are very friendly & courteous when it comes to pets. Everyone cleans up after their pets. There are pet stations for bags and trash reciprocals along the main road. They also have a dog park in the area."
  • Denise3288
"Lived here for 16 years. Neighbors are friendly and helpful. Quiet and surrounded by the ICC, other popular cities, etc... It’s home. You would enjoy Olney. "
  • Denilsonacordi
"Very quiet community, many parks for recreation and very safe nights for walks and walking with your dog. I recommend it highly for all properties, they are sold very fast and there are very large schools with a very high level of education."
  • Vionnette V.
"Nice after I pass route 200 in the morning. I work in Wheaton and is a 20 minutes ride am and pm. "
  • KW
"New to the area, but I’ve loved it so far. Nice and quiet, pretty tree lined streets, and very friendly neighbors."
  • NakedTruthReveals
"My neighborhood has options for commuting however I choose to drive and the drive into DC or Baltimore can be very long and stressful."
  • Michael G.
"there is a pool and shopping center within walking distance. except for the private school snobbs most neighbors are nice and accepting."
  • Kechelle S.
"There isn’t a lot of diversity and sometimes you can feel like everyone is apart of some kind of a click. However I feel safe most of the time and there is definitely a small town feel. "
  • Steve H.
"We have lived here for about 24 years and found it a very nice, mostly quiet, and safe place. We live on a cul-de-sac which boosts the quiet factor considerably. It’s growing now, but at a rate that still feels good."
  • abccars
