NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is solely about money. I am giving my review based on a mother who has had a student graduate from a different high school. This school wants the kids to pay for everything even though they require a budget at the beginning of the year for each grade. I transferred my daughter to this school for convenience (we moved around the corner) but I am solely regretting that decision with each experience I have had at Warren Easton. I picked my child up several times and notice how too friendly the security guard and front entrance person is with the students( girls in particular). It seems as if this school is completely over hyped. I felt a little off at the orientation because it seems all the teachers talked about was discipline. My daughter does not feel like she learns anything here. This is an all around horrible high school experience and I regret removing her from her previous high school.Parent Review2y ago17 Reviews - Benjamin Franklin Elementary Math And Science

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Benjamin Franklin. I started at this school when I was in Pre-K, and I am now in the 9th grade at Lusher School. When I attended this school before Hurricane Katrina it was a magnet school meaning you had to take a test. After Katrina the school was obliged to allow any student in without taking a test. The teachers at Benjamin Franklin do not care about the child's education, they do not have a great disciplinary system at all and they just student do whatever they choose at this school. That is why I decided to leave for 8th grade at Lusher School. I will say that the only good thing about Benjamin Franklin is that it goes from Pre-K to 8th grade. I f you want your child to go to an extraordinary school send them to Lusher Charter School.Other Review11y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 423 Burgundy St.

"Movie nights, theater and special events held in my neighborhood makes it special. Also the neighbors are constantly putting together themed parties during certain times of the year."

"It’s the French quarter. Lots of partying and bars. And tourists. We’re part of that. Architecturally special. I love it. "

"Fun, historical, and vibrant neighborhood! However, you must always be aware of your surroundings, and there is a lot of crime unfortunately."

"Not really a good area for children. Great area if you want to sell your car and walk or take trolley/public transportation. If you do own a car, be prepared to pay a monthly fee for parking on top of rent. Many places do not offer onsite parking and street parking can be hard to find. "

"No commute. If I had one, I’d be miserable. Not because of the traffic, which is always horrible, or the one-ways and no left turn lanes, but because of the wretched condition of the roads. Potholes have potholes and there’s no rush to fix it. "

"There is a great park with a wonderful pay area for children on Dauphine between Gov. Nichols and Barracks. The neighborhood is friendly and we’ve always felt comfortable walking at night."

"It is the most expensive neighborhood in the city. There are schools and churches but mostly bars. It is fun to live here for events and festivals but driving and parking can be bothersome. "

"Not a place for kids. This is adult Disney land. It maybe a magical, wonderful place (that’s why I live here); The city is also a witches brew of sex, drugs, mayhem, and booze. "
