"Very safe and calm area. Nice parks but don’t go too far into the city as it can get dangerous and sketchy."
  • Pedro P. R.
"All about gang activity is very important to know. Crimes in the area, car theft, burglary, and assaults are as important. "
  • Ian M.
"Not a lot of kids playing outside, neighborhood is mainly made up of elderly folks. Everyone is very nice and definitely on top of security. Easy to walk to park and the grocery store. "
  • Babak B.
"I have 30 mile commute to Temecula but it is without traffic. Nice scenary with beautiful mountains ahead."
  • Catherine B.
"Oceanside is a great place to live. I love it here! My neighborhood (near Kaiser Permanente) is quiet, well-maintained, and safe. Most of my neighbors are military families (including myself) due to our close proximity to the base."
  • Barrerac2011
"People walking dogs of all sizes at all times of day. People are kind, but you must pick up after your dog. "
  • Amanda
"Less than 30 minutes usually. Busier in the mornings during school drop off, and at rush hour in the afternoon. "
  • Eric S.
"My neighborhood has great access to everything. Shops are within walking distance as well as Banks and trails. Neighbors are friendly my neighborhood also has parks for children. "
  • Staci Q.
"there are no community events that make it a special neighborhood. just a fine area to live. can walk to gym, places to eat and drugstore."
  • Megan H.
"It’s a safe environment and I’m a single mom with twins, everyone is friendly, there are many stores near by, freeways are also very close, "

"Great schools in the surrounding area. Convenient shopping and restaurants near by. Close to all freeways and beaches. Military friendly area and close to MCB Camp Pendleton. "
  • Aerial B.
"we love the neighborhood. it's beautiful and people are friendly. the view is pretty from where i live. the neighborhood is safe and the apartment complex is well gated and safe. "
  • Rothrocknancy
"Very quiet but huge apt complexes and inadequate roads cause traffic. The City didn’t complete expected roads and access to freeway so there is a red light every quarter mile... "
  • Cjnapierc
"my mother lives in the area and it seems to be centrally located to many things. there is Transportation, shopping, and freeways close by. also there are several great churches."
  • Chargerfanus2003
"in the path of progress with hundreds of acres of open land being developed for recreation and commercial use. Award winning schools, great weather (about 5 miles off the coast so not too hot and not too cool & cloudy). MLK park and now El Corazon area makes it great for active families. Close but not too close to major freeways makes for easy commute while having a quiet neighborhood. "
  • ourstore99
"I live in the area and have for 15 years. Beautiful landscaping all around Rancho del Oro"
  • C
"You could not hand pick better neighbors! Dad and kids playing catch in the yards. Laughing, soccer playing, kids in the tot-lot, couples out for evening strolls! I LOVE this neighborhood. Ivey Ranch has the best teachers, administrators and PTO of any school! If you are lucky enough to find a house in here, grab it! "
  • Donald
"There are numerous problems with Blackhawk Ave in Rancho Del Oro and the HOA can be very difficult to deal with. There is a open attitude of hostility towards certain types of people like renters, gay, jew, and anyone of color. The HOA will open litigation towards renters and homeowners over supposed violations. Heck as my friends were moving in the postal carrier tried to deliver a certified letter with a written complaint on them. They broke the lease and left California sick of this extremely restrictive and foul nature towards as they put it undiserables."
