"I definitely wouldn't raise a child in Broadmoor. There's often gunshots going off just a few blocks away, and who knows when a stray bullet will end up coming down on your house or your kid. People are trying to improve the neighborhood, but unfortunately it seems to only be making some people more desperate "

"I wouldn’t allow kids to walk around alone at night in this neighborhood. I don’t think it is safe enough. The schools also are not the best for children around here. "

"We returned to Broadmoor after hurricane Katrina because we really loved it. It is close enough to everything, yet doesn't have the cramped feel of Uptown. We walk our dog as a family every evening and truly enjoy it. neighbors look out for each other and lend a hand if needed."

"Quiet neighborhood. Nice mix of young professionals new to the neighborhood and old-time New Orleanians. There is a lot of pride in Broadmoor. And there are plenty of places to walk to between Freret and new places opening on Broad."
