"This is a nice neighborhood, people keep to themselves but wave hello when walking past. Not a lot of issues with loud people or disruptive noise. I’ve felt comfortable knocking on a neighbor’s door when necessary. People maintain their properties well, I feel safe walking around, and there are frequently kids playing outside or people walking their dogs. I feel safe letting my children play outside. "
  • Shasta Kelly

"Live here for roughly 5 years it’s quiet as Akron gets so if you’re used to living in the city it’s Beverly Hills but you still can’t leave yourself vulnerable in the city "
  • Trulia User
"quick and easy to get on the highway, when there's no construction. I commute to Cleveland via 77. driving in the neighborhood is rough because the roads are not maintained. "

"Great neighborhood where home owners take care of their house/yards & help each other. Been here for 12 years no issues. "
  • Cory T.
"some parts of the neighborhood are really good and some not so much. the school system isn't the best but garfield is being rebuilt so hopefully that changes when it's finished"
  • Lisa H.
"In regards to how nice the area is where you live, it depends on where you’re located in Firestone Park. It encompasses a fairly large part of Akron. The best locations are west of Route 8 South. "

"It’s a great neighborhood. I think that the name Firestone park stretches way too far out and those areas give it a bad name. I’ve been here 7 years and had very little problems "
  • Lisa H.
