I have been dealing with this school for 4 years and it has gotten worse every year. There is absolutely no communication. And your child can be struggling and being bullied and they will not contact you nor respond to your calls, but they will call if they say your child is in trouble. The teachers take forever to grade assignments and even when I reached out to the teachers through the app, they either don't respond or they say tell the student to see me in my planning period in which my child has a class. They make school hard and stressful for these kids and even more stressful for the parents that care about the success of their child.

If you are interested in a quality STEM education in the Mobile County Public School system, DHS is worth your consideration.

This school is below average, not what I expected. Teachers are not that involved with students or parents. Car line ladies in the morning are rude and hit your car to " keep it moving" I choose to deal with the dreading car line because they have recently lost a student on the bus. Announcements of school spirit wear happens maybe 1 week before It doesn't give you time to prepare or buy your child something to wear for that day, not organized and not family friendly.
