"I can’t say I’m not a parent I do own pets though and for the most part Florence is pet friendly don’t recommend for families more then 2 people though "

"nothing really spectacular. There are lots of parks in the area. even more fast food. the tornado sirens work. people are ok."
  • Karen
"Moved from a large state and big city to live in a family oriented down to earth southern town....Florence. I love living here. Houses are reasonably priced, property taxes are better than most cities, schools are good, less traffic, lots of history, beautiful scenery and parks. Florence doesn't offer everything the big cities do. But one can make a day or weekend get away to places like Huntsville, Birmingham, Nashville and many other heavily populated areas. I find living here a lot more relaxing and less stressful. "
  • Trulia User
"Working from home since COVID. So I don’t commute to work, but shopping is a short drive away, along with many options for schools. "
  • Cheri G.
"We don’t really have community events but we’re close to Florence High School and several churches in walking distance. "
  • Brianna G.
"There are many potentially dangerous lose dogs. Generally friendly community, if a dog was lost and found the owner is almost always called. "
  • Krystalin_hamer
"great city to live in! only reason we are leaving is to start a homestead outside of city limits! always feel safe and have a good relationship with our neighbors "
  • Umelty
"Mostly city driving in Florence. After crossing the river it gets slower paced and more town like. "
  • Emma
"They would like the cute neighborhoods and wouldn’t like the busy main streets and Alabama summer heat"
  • Trulia User
"Yes, it is a great neighborhood for families and their pets. Pets can be walked and kids can play. Neighbors are friendly. Yet, people do not bother you. The area is quiet and peaceful. "
  • Brookannlane98
"my neighborhood is trashed out and no one cares to help keep it cleaned up. .................... in my honest opinion, this is a terrible area ."
  • Bree S.

"It is full of obnoxious college students and people. People throw trash on the ground and speed constantly. "

"This home is located in a secluded area of the county that is private and quite. Shopping is mostly done in the Shoals area. Food, pharmacy and hardware, etc. are only 7 miles away."
  • emily
"This neighborhood is amazing! I love it. this is a great neighborhood for children.. this is also good for pets and runners. there are a lot of kids in this neighborhood. There is also a neighborhood pool and park. this neighborhood is older so some of the houses won't be updated that are for sale. most of the houses seem to be updated well! The back yards are big. But the thing I love most about this neighborhood ids that there are kids everywhere. I come from a small town but this school system is great i like it a lot. This neighborhood has charm.. there are tons of trees and plant life. If I could use one word for this neighborhood it would be amazing."
