We're snowbirding again this winter so our 3-bedroom farmhouse in Maple Corner village is available from Jan 15 through April 5. Beautiful, safe, and convenient location. Just across the road from skating and fishing on Curtis Pond, next to the Maple Corner Community Store, Post Office and the Whammy Bar, and a couple hundred feet to the paved County Road that gets you to Montpelier in 15 minutes. Plenty of walking, cross country skiing, and VAST trails right outside our door. Rent includes high speed internet/wifi, house cleaner once a month, trash pickup and plowing, but doesn't include heat or electricity (which is offset because we have solar hot water and solar PV). For heating we use the wood pellet stove ($9 per bag and we use about one bag per day in the coldest months). But now we also have heat pumps installed throughout the house, so you can use those instead. There is parking in the driveway.
Lease is from Jan 15 through April 5. Rent pro-rated for Jan and April. No smoking, no pets. $1500 non-refundable deposit due upon agreement (goes towards last month's rent). $1500 non-refundable deposit due by Nov 30, 2024 (goes towards first month's rent). $1500 security deposit due by Jan 1, 2025.
There is a 20 foot walkway from the garage to the front door that needs to be shoveled. If you can't do that, we need to know so we can hire someone to do it (at your expense).

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy children have had very bad experiences at this school. They have fallen through the cracks. One of my children is six behind grade level due to complete ineptness from the special education department, and despite years of me begging the school to improve they do not make any changes. Bullying is a constant problem, supposedly there is a no bullying policy but nothing is actually done. Going to the school has traumatized my children and destroyed their self-esteem. Moving to this school district was the biggest mistake of my life, I feel like it has not only ruined my children's childhoods, but very likely has taken their futures away as well. Many teachers appear friendly and seem to care about the kids, but they continue to be unsuccessful in their teaching and to turn a blind eye to bullying. If you have a child that is popular and does not have any learning differences they may do okay. If you have a child like mine that has learning disabilities, your child's needs will not be met.
