"I lived here 7 years ago and the water was red and had copper and iron in it. Would not recommend. Was told there was nothing they could do about it. Ended up moving to a house in another city"
  • Darian Baker
"My neighbors are great but it is not the safest place to live. You hear gun shots all hours of the day. "
  • Cathy T.
"Henderson is a vibrant community. I feel safe in my neighborhood and people are friendly. Many neighbors walk on the sidewalks and there are many opportunities for exercise at the local rec center or 10 minutes away at Kerr Lake. "
  • Dee M.
"Very country atmosphere. nearest cornerstore is at least a mile or two away. neighbors stay to themselves even though we are in a neighborhood "
  • Nichole F.
"A little bit of traffic but not as bad as driving in a bigger city. If you leave a little earlier before the school rush it is actual relaxing commute. "
  • Janice W.
" Well my community do not have to many events but I love it because it’s a quiet Neighborhood I’m closer to the hospital"
  • Celia.brinker
"Little public transportation but my daily commute is easy. Private cars are the normal transportation."
  • fatherofgradn04
"This used to be an area where professional retirees lived. Now it is over flowing with bad kids, drugs, break-ins, etc. The street is unkept with debris in yards or in the streets. LOUD kids cursing and YELLING, adults sitting on porches drinking & "smoking" and looking "rough". This is NOT a good street that you would want to move onto and expect to feel safe! Parent don't watch their kids. Young kids barely walking, outside alone roaming the street, so you have to watch constantly when you turn into Carolina Avenue, especially from College Street going towards Montgomery Street. I would NOT recommend renting a house on this street. Majority of the folk here are on Welfare/Disability and NOT working, just hanging out drinking, "smoking" and "getting high"."

"I used to live in this area and I think it is great!!! A wonderful place to live, retire and for working couples with children. Very good and peaceful neighborhood. Most people are very caring and considerate of their community. Very close to the downtown area but yet its the suburbs of Henderson."
  • Greg L.
"I live right around here. The comunity is great, everyone tries to take care of their yard and they are all friendly. The comunity hires a DJ and has a cookout almost every holiday. It is a easy walk to the lake and free boat ramp. Also if going for a walk, you can enter for free into the state park! I have loved living in the area and don't ever want to leave"
