Overall a great school. Reading another review concerning “political propaganda”, I can say that the individual is probably no longer employed at the school and has a skewed perspective. Human rights are a completely separate issue from any staff member’s political or religious views, and Fruitdale does take supporting all students and their families seriously. It is a public school and public places in this nation should be safe and welcoming for all. Fruitdale Elementary is a diverse and welcoming environment. I agree that the schedule of constantly moving to different small groups is not for all students, and is definitely stressful for the younger grades and the neurodivergent students. The students spend more time with other teachers and instructional assistants than their own teachers. Having the experience of diverse teaching is beneficial but also takes away from the building of class “community”. Safety is sometimes a concern, but is foremost on staff members’ minds. Field trips are almost non-existent and encouraging more families to volunteer could be improved. The best thing about Fruitdale has always been its staff members, most are very loving and dedicated.

I like the school There are good teachers

I don't think very highly of this school. The staff thinks of themselves as the lead parents over the students parents. The students are allowed to treat the staff like the students are in charge.
