About this House
Hey! I own a lovely, light-filled home framed by trees and friendly neighbors. The high ceilings and huge windows provide a bright and comfortable place to relax and be at home. There are a number of shared spaces in the house, including the living and dining rooms, kitchen, laundry, and a small yard at the rear. The house was recently renovated and has hardwood and tile floors throughout. Other amenities include central air; High-speed internet; on-site Washer/ Dryer; Cable ready. No pets. No drugs.
ROOM DETAILS:
This is 4-bedroom house. I occupy two and rent out the two remaining rooms.
Only one room is vacant at this time. The
start date is flexible (I'd prefer Feb 2026).
The room overlooks the backyard and has a spacious closets and a large bay window. There is a shared full bath (also located on the second floor). The room is available with basic furnishings (bed, desk, seating) or completely unfurnished- your choice!
NEIGHBORHOOD:
Barclay is quiet and in close proximity to Station North and Charles Village. Convenient to UB, MICA, Notre Dame and Johns Hopkins. I am within walking distance to Safeway (7mins), Penn Station (10-15mins), Parks (Calvert & Kennedy, Druid Hill Park, smaller pocket parks) and many local restaurants, theaters, shops and entertainment and other festivals/attractions. Other transportation lines include the JHMI shuttle (8mins walk), MARC (15min wall- offers quick service to Union Station in DC), Charm City Circulator (3 blocks from the house), the MTA Bus and Light Rail and I-83. The neighborhood has ample street parking and is about 2miles from Inner Harbor.
It's an ideal location for working professionals and those on clinical rotations, including nurses, doctors, and students working at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Union Memorial Hospital, Medstar Health, Mercy Hospital, Maryland General Hospital, Harbor Hospital, Sinai Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital. This location also works for students attending Johns Hopkins (Homewood or East Baltimore Medical Campus), Towson University, Loyola University, University of Baltimore, MICA, or Morgan State.
HOUSEMATES:
I'm a working professional (JHU employee) in my late 30s. In my free time, I enjoy salsa dancing, baking and biking.
I've experienced many rooming situations, and have found that I function best in open, constructive, and friendly roommate relationships. Cleaning up after yourself is important. I actively avoid clutter and am looking for roommates with similar habits. I'd also prefer that my housemates are gainfully employed, honest, independent, responsible, and reliable. (Bonus points if you enjoy a margarita!)
We would share the house with another young male working professional who works in graphic design. His room is also located on the second floor and you both would share the 2nd-floor bathroom.
Rent is $900/month, utilities are included.
A tenant agreement and security deposit are required prior to move-in.
