I had to withdraw due to $210 in seat time fees I couldn’t afford, mainly caused by absences from being sick and caring for my ill mother. When I went to get withdrawal paperwork, a counselor tried to pressure me into staying. After I declined, she asked inappropriate personal questions and made rude comments about my future and my family. She even said, “Your mother deserves better,” before walking out. I was left crying, and staff then questioned whether I could legally withdraw at 18.
