"I don’t think there’s anything out of the ordinary. It’s a standard normal family oriented neighborhood with lots of dog walkers. "
  • Julia.reichel22
"Some streets will come together to do a “block party” with a band for entertainment. Some get together to coordinate Christmas light shows. "
  • Brady Bisel
"North Mankato is the nicer of the two Kato’s in my humble opinion. The only drawback is there’s no grocery store in North Mankato. "
  • Dani
"Everyone has a dog, most back yards are fenced in. I’ve only seen 1 dog fight and both were on leash. No dogs at large messing with yours. "
  • Sonja K.
"Great place for kids, lots of Playgrounds and parks nearby to play at. Also the new swimming pool is a lot of fun! Great schools as well!"
  • Siri O.
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for about three months! The neighbors are always about and are super friendly! There are people of all ages and have yet to meet someone sketchy or who I didn’t trust :)"
  • Sarah D.
"I’m not sure. Haven’t lived here very long. I work a lot so I haven’t had the time to explore the the area."
  • Terri '. B.
"Very dog friendly. Most dog owners are respectful and clean up after them. That is all I have to say"
  • Jess B.
"I drive my own car, but traffic is mild at all times here. Never see a real rush hour! My daily commute is simple and uneventful."
  • Jordan F.
"They would like that they wouldn’t have to worry about their dogs barking because everybody’s dogs bark like crazy "
  • Trulia User
"Grew up in the old part of the neighborhood, loved it. Had the dog babysit me outside and was always fine. Would walk about at night when a teenager and never had any problems."
  • Technofunktrial
"lots of places to walk the dog and also a nice dog park in North Mankato. pretty place to wander, and not any (rarely) dogs off lead"
  • Dani W.
"No traffic very residential. Easy drive over the bridge to mankato, or quick Jim on 14 from upper north "
  • Darkichi
"Great schools, parks and local charm. Quite at night and nice neighbors. Seasonal events as well as a summertime parade"
  • Nate a. M.
"There are lots of businesses nearby. Surrounded by established neighborhoods though. Mixed ages. Some fast food places and a few bars. "
  • Hollysweat362
"I've lived in the area for 3 years. Benson Park is a lovely place to be near for peaceful walking, a nice place for children to play, great for dog walking and well kept. 15 mins from the heart of Mankato. close enough for everything you need but far enough you don't feel cramped. ok the closer side to St Peter, I enjoy shopping at the St Peter for co-op.
